Do not call list

The do-not-call list holds the numbers your campaigns must never ring. A number on it is left out of every campaign, whichever tag or segment it is in, and a number added while a campaign is running is skipped from its next call on.

Inbound calls are not affected. Calls your team places by hand are not blocked either, but they get a warning first (see below).

Where to find it

Open Contacts and choose the Do not call tab. Each number shows how it got there, an optional note and the date it was added. Search by number and sort by date or number.

Adding numbers

There are four ways a number gets on the list:

Added byHow
Added by handType the number with its country code, for example +14155550123, add a note if you like, and click Add number.
ImportedClick Import CSV. Use a column named phone (or put the numbers in the first column) and an optional note column. You confirm the count before anything is added, and the import runs in the background. Numbers already on the list are left as they are.
Asked on a callOn AI agent campaign calls, when the person asks not to be called again, the AI agent adds their number and tells them they will not be called again.
Marked by an agentOn a contact's page, click Do not call. In an Agents dial one by one campaign, agents can also choose Do not call instead of calling.

Anyone on the team can add a number.

On the contact

A contact whose number is on the list shows a red Do not call badge on their page, with how it was added and when. In the contacts list, a small shield next to the phone number marks them.

Calling a listed number by hand

When someone dials a number on the list from the dialer, a contact's page or a call record, WhautoVoice asks first. The warning says how and when the number was added, and the caller chooses Call anyway or Cancel. That keeps legitimate calls possible, for example returning a call the person asked for, while making sure nobody rings them by mistake.

Taking a number off

Only Owners and Administrators can remove a number or import a file. On the Do not call tab click the bin icon, or on the contact's page click Allow calls, then type CONFIRM. Only do this when the person has agreed to be called again.

What campaigns show

  • When a campaign starts, numbers on the list are left out, and the confirmation tells you how many.
  • On a running campaign, Do not call counts everyone skipped for being on the list, including those added while it ran.
Keep the list

The list is your record that someone asked not to be called. Removing a number lets every campaign ring it again.
